McCall 2008

So Austin had his first trip.... which happened to not be very far away. We go up to McCall every August with Jeff's family as sort of a family reunion/celebrate my father in law's birthday trip! I didn't take many pics because I did alot of sleeping.... trying to catch up. We rented condos on the lake and everyone else enjoyed jetskiing and swimming. I am still a little sore from my c-section and didn't think my doctor would approve. We really needed this relaxing time away and everyone was such a big help with the baby. He definitely got spoiled up there.

Austin letting his momma pack (He is always good at passing out at the right times!)

Austin and Daddy sleeping on the couch ... so adorable!

Here is the group shot at the end of the trip.... we have to take one every year... father in law's orders!! My face still looks so fat ha gross. 30 more pounds to go still... ugh!

Its Been Awhile!

Wow, I never realized how I might not be able to get on the computer as much anymore! It's crazy... but I love every minute of it. Austin is so amazing and turned 3 weeks old yesterday! I feel so cliche, but it really does seem like yesterday I was still in the hospital! Not a whole lot has changed other than I am just getting used to my new sleeping schedule and Austin is finally starting to be awake more during the day which is nice for sleeping at night. I am glad to be able to be at home with him and not feel rushed to have to go back to work. I need all the time I can get to recover. My 6 weeks is up on about September 3rd when I go in for my final appointment and until then I am just hanging out and relaxing... my doctor told me she doesn't even want me to vacuum and trust me I am taking orders ; ) Right now I would have to say that bath time is my favorite because he looks so cute when I wrap him up in his little towel.... here is a pic of my little man (although he doesn't like bath time like I do).

August has been a busy month and doesn't look like it is slowing down... We are leaving for our annual family trip to McCall on 20th and come back the 24th. Then on the 25th Blake starts 1st grade which is completely crazy... he is growing up so fast! Blake has loved being a big brother so it will be different having him gone all day but it will also be nice to have a quiet house so I can finally take naps when Austin sleeps and start focusing on my business a little bit more. Here is Blake holding Austin for the first time... he was so happy and sweet it was amazing to watch him change into a little adult himself!

Well, I better go check on the little guy to make sure he is still asleep : ) He always looks so peaceful when he is sleeping... another one of my favorite things.

Have a good weekend!

Finally Home and Feeling Better

Even though I have been home since Thursday, I am just now caught up on my sleep and feeling better. Austin probably appreciates a happier mommy! Not alot has really happened since I got home other than that I have the most perfect calm baby! He is wonderful.... we are already on a pretty good schedule and I get plenty of sleep at night. I am not sure how long this will last, but I am soaking it in all I can! Austin had his first doctor appointment on Friday and everything is perfect. He weighs 8lbs, 8 ozs and shrunk a little to 20 3/4 inches. The doctor said that he doesn't need to see him again til he is 2 months. Other than that... I am a little sad because I am not able to breastfeed anymore. When I got sick and was in the hospital my body had to take care of itself and stopped producing milk. Still to this day I am trying to pump/feed and I can't even get 1 oz out in like 45 minutes.... I will continue to try for awhile but the doctor said that I should just take care of myself and that Austin is so healthy and that formula is so close to breast milk nowadays that he will be fine. I am not sure how I feel about this but I am trying all I can.

Here is a pic of my little man... happy to have his momma home! I love how much gas makes them look like they are smiling ha.
