Austin + Pink Headband = Lots of Laughs!

So this is random but Austin found an old hot pink headband in one of the drawers and I just let him play with it because it's bright and I will never wear it. This video does not show it all but when he found out how you were supposed to wear it he was on it for most of the night. I caught a little bit on video ... please ignore him getting in trouble and the loud television in the back. I just thought it was cute... Jeff on the other hand doesn't appreciate the "pink." Oh well! Mommy enjoyed the laughs : )

Catching Up

Wow. I really did not think it had been since February that I was last on here! Crazy. I am really trying hard to grasp that Austin will be 1 on July 22nd! I swear I remember just being so uncomfortable and wanting to kill my doctor at this point. 4th of July is Saturday and last year I was sitting out on my front porch with Jeff in tears wishing Austin would just come out already! Now I get to experience his first 4th of July and couldn't be happier!

Jeff is busy busy getting things up and running with MyReMa and we seriously could not be in a better place in life. I complain sometimes but at the end of the day I am sooo proud of what has happened with his company over the last 6 months. We are so close to being funded and launching that I can taste it...

Blake turned 7 in May and just started Karate last week. He is totally in love with it and never wants to leave. I am glad he found his passion for now. 2nd grade will be here before we know it and he is glad to start fresh and meet some new friends. In the meantime our neighbor's daughter and Blake have become great friends. It is totally adorable. They want to have a sleepover and I am trying to find a way to break it to him that it is never going to happen! Ha. Some may think it is ok but I don't think her parents would ever go for it!

Randomness

So I thought I would blog about myself for once... This morning as I was working out at 5:30 am I realized that my son is 7 months old and I need to get my butt back into shape. It has been a tough ordeal for me with the health conditions I developed after having Austin. I blogged about this before I think but I am officially on Thyroid medication for the rest of my life : ) Yeah me... (not really..) It is not that bad and I am EXTREMELY thankful it is not anything more serious like a heart condition. I developed Hashimotos Thyroiditis which is an auto immune disease that pretty much kills your thyroid so you in return have to take a supplement. The doctor said it could be about 6-12 more months until I get my metabolism back and am even able to lose weight! It is really hard on me to feel hopeless like every diet/workout I do really isn't doing any good (as far as the weightloss) However, being healthy is better than gaining weight because of eating a lot of junk food ; ) So here is to my new committment of 5:30 am workouts! I also am eating smaller portions and limiting sugar... I know what to do now I just need to get out there and DO IT!

February Update

So since I am known for only doing monthly updates... I decided to make this the update for February and if I can remember to update sooner I will ha.

Austin went in at the end of January and he is growing soo fast! He is about 22 lbs now and 27 1/2 inches long! He will be 7 months on the 22nd and I can't believe how quickly this is all going. I am going to be planning his 1st birthday before I know it! I am soo excited though I love being a mom more than anything in the world... he is just amazing and always puts a smile on my face!

Blake is going to be 7 on May 16th so his birthday is creeping up on us too! I can't believe how big he is getting as well... We are more than half way through 1st grade and I feel like he just started Kindergarten! He is learning how to read and is making great progress. I am so proud of him!

Jeff is working hard trying to get our business off the ground! He is amazing and we received some good new that 99% we are going to be funded within 30-45 days! It is so exciting and I feel so blessed to have such a determined husband.

The teenagers are busy with school and work and it is great to see stuff they are going through and be able to relate (since I was not long ago in their place ; ) Scott is going to school learning to be a Chef and hopes to move to San Francisco in November. Emily is finishing her Junior year in high school and loves her auto body class... the whole family is just doing great!

Family Updates and Random Photos

I guess I have about a month of catching up to do since I have been slacking for 2009 already! There goes my resolutions!! I have been sick for the last week and my house is suffering... I still feel weak today but cannot stand to look at it any longer! We had an amazing Christmas and it was so busy that I didn't really get that many pictures.. which makes me sad since it was Austin's first Christmas!! I think it was mainly because he was sleeping for alot of it. Next year when he is 1 1/2 I know we will have plenty of pics to make up for this last Christmas! We spend Christmas Eve at Jeff's mom's house and had the traditional crab legs for dinner! They are sooo delicious. Then on I hosted Christmas Day at my house which was exciting! This is the first year we have a new big house to fit everyone!! There were about 20 of us and it was so much fun...

Austin Loves His Momma!

So we are finally hitting the stage where Austin just can't be without his momma! Although it is very flattering... sometimes is gets to be a bit much! I am happy though that he knows who I am and that I get to play such an important role in his life!! I am constantly reminded of how lucky I am to get to be his mom! He has always watched me when I walk around the house but the other week I noticed he will watch me even if it means being upside down! I normally put him in our recliner seat in the mornings because he loves to drink his bottle and watch Tom and Jerry while I have my coffee... I got up and looked over and he was staring at me the whole time! It is soo cute he just does this fake cough so I look over at him... what a cutie!
Austin is 6 months on the 22nd and we go into the doctor for his check up on the 26th so I should have some updates on how big the little guy is getting.. I already know we are going to have to replace his carseat because his legs are just about to hang off the edge!
